Reporting to the Director, Strategy, Policy and Impact and supporting the Director, Communication and Community Change, the EA position is part of the Senior Leadership Office and is responsible for providing confidential executive administration support to the Executive, to assist in the smooth running of their directorates helping the organisation deliver on its legislative remit, strategic plan and priority actions set out in its business plan. The EA is responsible for managing complex correspondence and calendar requirements, along with coordinating and developing presentations/report reports and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) communications on a range of complex and/or sensitive matters. Utilising your ability to operate with a high level of discretion, autonomy, and accountability in a sensitive and complex environment, the Executive Assistant will establish and maintain effective working relationships and facilitate the flow of information across Respect Victoria and with key external stakeholders.
Respect Victoria Respect Victoria was established as a Statutory Authority under the Prevention of Family Violence Act 2018 on the 4th October 2018. We have a broad focus on the primary prevention of family violence and violence against women in Victoria, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to provide state-wide leadership to create social, institutional, organisational and community change.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the development, management and delivery of a range of internal and external activities and events and support basic financial activities in line with relevant policies
- Provide administrative support for SLT matters including scheduling meetings, minute taking, action follow up and so on with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide internal coordination to support efficient development and finalisation of Board papers to allow the SLT adequate time to review and make changes
- Arrange and coordinate meetings including note taking/actions for meetings

About You
- Demonstrated experience as an EA and able to deal with concepts and complexity comfortably, using analytical and conceptual skills to reason through problems.
- Excellent organisational skills and can balance competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills, able to build relationships across a diverse range of people with a collaborative approach and style.
- Exceptionally strong verbal and written skills and proficient with Office365 suite
