**Performance Solutions Sales Manager**
**Purpose of the position**
Responsible for defining and executing against the sales targets (including innovation sales) for the assigned customer portfolio for the Performance Solutions business line. The assigned customer portfolio includes new customers currently not purchasing from DSM and expansion of sales to existing customers.
Responsible for managing assigned customer accounts.
Define and implement individual Performance Solutions customer plans.
Collaborate closely with Account Managers and Manager, Performance Solutions in development of new Performance Solutions business opportunities at customers.
**Key areas of accountability/responsibility**
**a) Managing Accounts**
- Establish strong customer relationships, while developing commercial opportunities and value propositions.
- Develop and maintain account plans for assigned customers. Maintaining account plans and opportunity development through CRM.
- Setting sales forecasts and budget for Performance Solutions customer portfolio.
- Commercial Management and responsibility for customer quotations, pricing and submission of tenders, where required.
- For accounts where required, coordinate premix formulation briefings, development and customer acceptance and approval. Responsible for filing of formulation and technical information/reports in accordance with existing quality system requirements.
- Co-operation and liaison with other DSM stakeholders, e.g.: Logistics, Customer Service, Credit Management to ensure prompt and optimal service to customers (processing of orders, deliveries, debt collections).
**b) Market Knowledge and Insights**
- Attendance at Industry events may be required, involving stakeholder engagement with customers.
- Assist the ANH Management with projects, surveys, reports and various tasks as required.
- Keep up to date with current national and international feed regulations and pertinent to DSM business.
- Keep up to date with technical literature and new raw materials addition feasibility into premix for new business opportunity through attending presentations/seminars/trainings on new materials and DSM products.
**Knowledge and educational level**
- Tertiary qualification, i.e.: Bachelor’s degree in Animal Nutrition or Science or related field as a minimum.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Australian animal stockfeed, animal production, feed additive or premix industry in Oceania, preferably in a technical or marketing role.
- Sound technical and practical understanding of animal nutrition and feed formulation across various species.
**Required level of experiences**
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills along with marketing skills to require to form strong customer relationships.
- A self-driven individual that is goal-focused, whilst able to collaborate in a team and enjoys face-to-face customer interaction.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Suite Products.
- Good communication skills to explain and convey ideas.
- A confident approach to meeting regulations and reporting problems.
- Good team working skills.
- Familiarity with ISO, HACCP, GMP+ or FAMI-QS quality systems.
- SAP experience preferred.
