**How will I help?**

This role is focused on two key areas:

- S trengthening the risk frameworks and operating model for emerging data risk particularly relating to use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The role holder will work with a cross section of risk stewards and AI practitioners to advance responsible AI governance, standards, tools and processes so as to uplift overall Line One data risk capability relating to emerging data risks. It is an expectation of this role to promote a strong data risk culture that embodies our ethics and integrity while balancing commercial and customer needs.
- Leading the BDM Services team to ensure the critical data in our bank is properly managed and governed. The team is responsible for ensuring Business Glossary is continually updated and maintained, as well as the associated business data flows

**What you will do**
- Work closely with SMEs, 1LOD, 2LOD and the business to review policies relating to responsible AI
- Implement and embed frameworks and standards to operationalise responsible AI policies and practices
- Implement governance model around how we govern the use of AI
- Ensuring adequate controls are in place and are assessed periodically, and continually improved in line with emerging regulatory requirements and technologies
- Provide input into and contribute to continuously uplift tooling and processes relating to responsible AI.
- Support maintenance of governance and oversight to promote responsible AI - chairing the responsible AI working group
- Work across multiple risk classes to generate awareness and cohesive adoption of responsible AI risk frameworks
- Support enterprise approach to creating awareness and education around responsible AI, engaging with external experts when required
- Work closely with AI practitioners and data science community to create awareness around emerging risk practices
- Monitor emerging regulatory requirements relating to responsible AI as well ask industry best practices
- Connect with external experts, organisational bodies, specialist agencies/institutes to keep up to date on latest developments relating responsible AI and other emerging data risks

**What do I need?**
- Experienced risk management professional with strong banking/ financial services / risk assessment experience related to the relevant risk class.
- Proven experience with demonstrated ability to lead and deliver transformative change with business controls and risk culture
- Effective influencing and negotiating skills
- Related Tertiary qualifications
- Experience leading Responsible AI developments (preferred)
- Experience with Data Risk Management practices
- Excellent critical analysis, problem solving and reasoning skills
- Builds effective relationships and assimilates information quickly
- Self Leader - manages to high quality and time
- Driven to deliver - proven ability to deliver the best possible results for the organisation; and shows passion, resourcefulness and a sense of purpose in achieving this
- Naturally you will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
