Reporting to the General Manager Operations and Infrastructure, this role forms a critical part of the senior leadership network at the City of Port Phillip. Leading a large and highly capable team across a diverse portfolio of services including waste management, infrastructure maintenance, beach cleaning and parks, you will create a culture of high performance and accountability to deliver great outcomes for our residents, traders and visitors In a context of significant population growth, this role will lead the development and implementation for future service requirements including key organisational strategies to ensure that services help deliver Council’s sustainability targets. You will champion best practice customer service, actively listening to the needs of the customer to ensure that the physical infrastructure and assets of the City enhances the quality of life for the community and its many visitors.
As a results-oriented leader, you bring experience in complex service delivery organisations with an understanding of regulatory environments. Well regarded for being a values-driven leader, you have strong operational experience and demonstrated ability to manage output and performance in quantifiable, measurable ways, and a proven track-record of being able to deliver to operational performance targets. You have a thorough understanding of procurement, financial management, contract management, OH&S legislation and possess strong communication skills that enable you to collaborate with the executive leadership team and the wider organisation. To ensure community engagement and stakeholder relationships are developed and enhanced, you are collaborative and promote a culture of customer centricity and best practice methodologies across your teams.
