Reporting to the General Manager Operations and Infrastructure the Manager Property and Assets will lead the property and assets department to delivery outstanding customer service whilst strategically and operationally managing the property portfolio to meet Council’s legislative requirements and organisational objectives. With a focus on strategy development and implementation, you will lead the strategic management of Council’s vast asset and property portfolio including high-profile facilities and heritage buildings. Through building relationships with the diverse business units in a customer service environment, you will understand the strategic needs and prioritise what can be delivered and by when, with a focus on the improvements that will deliver the greatest efficiency and community focused gains. Being the key leader in this space, you will report back to the General Manager on the strategy implementation progress and keep the Executive Leadership Team well informed along the way.

You are an established contemporary people leader with strong experience in leading a property or asset related function for a complex community focused organization. You have a track record of leading successful change and delivering on customer/client needs that enhance business outcomes. Being a personable individual, you are an effective relationship builder with exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with a focus on integration with other organisational functions. You have the courage and resilience to challenge the status quo and have strong contemporary knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation.
