We are looking for an experienced UI Designer to join our Service Design team. The primary focus of the role will be helping to build and extend Single Digital Presence (SDP). SDP exists to make government information easier for Victorians to find, understand and use.
This role will demand your exceptional communication skills, requiring you to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team made up of UX researchers, content professionals, developers, and other UI designers.
You will lead the UI design of projects to help scale SDP to suit the whole of government, while contributing to and maintaining SDP's custom design system, Ripple.
We're a start up in government, so the pace is fast, the culture is collaborative, and the opportunity is endless.
**About you**
- experience in designing UIs with atomic design methodology and human-centered design principles
- experience in creating and managing a design system using Figma (or comparable design tool)
- familiarity with component-based UI design for frontend frameworks such as Vue, React, Angular, etc
- the ability to effectively work within and contribute to an Agile workflow and understand the technologies underpinning a modern web platform, and deliver effective user outcomes within its constraints.
