**About the Role**:
We have an exciting part time opportunity for a Product Designer (UI) to join the Strategy and Customer group for a 12-month period.

In this busy and diverse role, you will work closely with the Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and various stakeholders to really understand customer needs, design and test digital solutions. An opportunity that will allow you to jump straight in and flex your Figma capabilities, as well as work in a supportive team that will help enhance your career in this space.

Using your skills in stakeholder management and effective communication, you will focus on customer journey mapping, user interface design, experience design, and usability testing throughout the product development lifecycle.

**Some of what you’ll do each day**:

- Partner with your stakeholders and optimise the processes and interfaces developed through product programs of work
- Prototype and create high fidelity wireframes using Figma for user interfaces
- Be the lead designer for the product team and provide insights and advice to other projects where external vendors are performing the user experience design role
- Explore and deep dive customer and employee needs, ensuring a full understanding not only of the business problem but how our customers want/need to interact with us [We like to “fall in love with the problem” to find the best solutions]
- Lead and conduct usability testing throughout various phases of Digital Innovation projects

**What you’ll bring with you**:

- Certification in UI design from a recognised institute required (UX design also preferable), and Agile certification (desirable).
- Solid skills in Figma
- Advanced user of Microsoft suite, and excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking and consulting skills
- Strong communication skills, problem solving skills, as well the ability to influence and negotiate
- Knowledge of Agile software delivery frameworks, and an understanding of concepts and principles of project management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists
- Working experience in all facets of user interface design from customer journeys, prototyping through to high fidelity designs that can be leveraged for end user software development
- Experience with UX design including customer research, process flows and usability testing desirable.
