
Principal Engagement Officer

What you will do As a Principal Engagement Officer, Community Relationships, you will:
- Contribute to the strategic planning of communication and engagement activities to effectively engage community stakeholders to support the goals of the National Red Imported Fire Ant Eradication Program.
- Lead and participate in the development, implementation and delivery of stakeholder engagement strategies that influence behaviour change and boost advocacy.
- Coordinate research, analysis and evaluation of engagement activities to ensure that activities are tailored to specific requirements (e.g. physical, industrial and social factors typifying an area) to maximise effectiveness and ensure that actions to address any gaps are undertaken.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure engagement activities align with broader strategic and operational objectives and are responsive to changing circumstances.
- Coordinate the preparation of communication materials, reports, general correspondence related to program activities.
- Advise on appropriate allocation of resources to maximise public participation and plan for engagement in identified key areas.
- Supervise and coordinate officers to maximise efficiency and consistency of processes and activities, optimal time management and adherence to departmental policies and guidelines.
- Provide clear direction and day to day operational support to the Communication and Stakeholder Engagement team.

- You must possess interpersonal skills and experience in engaging with audiences.
- You must have a current 'C' class drivers' licence. You may also have
- IAP2 Engagement certificate or other relevant certificate/experience is highly desirable.
