12 Month contract | Large Property Portfolio | Queensland Government

We are excited to partner with Queensland Government who are currently in need of an experienced property and leasing professional with a passion for governance, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement to support the management and optimisation of a diverse property portfolio.

About the Role

As Principal Property Officer, you will play a pivotal role in assessing portfolio decision-making and facilitating a range of property functions. Your expertise will help shape the future of our property assets, ensuring our portfolio delivers lasting benefits for the community.

Y

ou will:

  • Provide high-level analysis and due diligence on property matters.
  • Develop and implement performance monitoring, decision-making frameworks, templates, and processes.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement across procurement, tenure, land use, and commercial opportunities.
  • Drive the rationalisation and optimisation of the property portfolio.
  • Consult and liaise with internal business units, legal services, procurement, lessees, other government departments, local authorities, community groups, and neighbouring property owners.
About You

We are looking for a proactive, solutions-focused professional who can demonstrate:

  • Relevant qualifications or industry experience in site due diligence, property law/conveyancing, town planning, leasing, or property-related policy and legislation (highly regarded but not mandatory).
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality portfolio advice and develop service responses that meet stakeholder needs.
  • Strong research, report writing, and briefing skills.
  • Awareness of relevant legislation and policy impacting Queensland State Government property portfolios.
  • A forward-thinking, motivated approach with a commitment to organisational objectives and continuous industry engagement.
