**About the Role**: SORD is an online business intelligence solution delivering dynamic and interactive reports to schools, regions, and central office teams, and strengthens our ability to make evidence-informed decisions that enable the delivery of quality education and early childhood services.
This exciting opportunity will allow the successful applicant to assist in strengthening engagement with users, deliver enhanced promotion of SORD across variety of communications channels, and support the expansion of SORD and its continued growth to deliver further benefits for the schools and support positive outcomes for Queensland students.
As the Principal Engagement and Communications Officer you will lead the development and implementation of innovative engagement and communication strategies for the team and its products and services, and will be responsible for delivering objectives by leading a range of key activities to meet milestones and desired outcomes.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Build and maintain collaborative and consultative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including school Principals, communities of practice groups, and other key school officers to facilitate delivery of best practice communication and community engagement and consultation initiatives.
- Develop, implement and measure innovative engagement and communication strategies and activities that inform and increase engagement with key stakeholders, including end users of the team's products and services.
- Develop, coordinate, deliver and evaluate workshops and consultation activities with key stakeholders to maximise engagement and feedback, including undertaking school community consultation, internal communication, issues management and liaison with departmental change and communications staff.
- Prepare content and materials to keep stakeholders informed, including newsletters, website updates, user guides, briefing notes and correspondence.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of onboarding materials, systems and processes to support new users, in addition to conducting training and development needs analysis that will enable ongoing capability uplift and enhanced information literacy.
- Proactively identify and manage stakeholder concerns and issues to maintain and enhance the reputation of the team's products and services.
- Provide high level advice regarding engaging and communicating with stakeholders, ensuring professional excellence in the design, planning and reporting of initiatives.
- Participate in team strategic and business planning in order to achieve the delivery of broader objectives.
- Identify emerging strategic issues that may impact on the activities of the team and the branch and coordinate the development of management approaches.
