The Opportunity:
This role reports to the GM Technology Modernisation and can be filled in either Sydney or Melbourne.

The Head of Portfolio & Release management will manage and align overall portfolio of all initiatives across business change, IT change and run ensuring delivery is optimized.
- Delivery and release of all initiatives as part of the Technology, Digital and Analytics (TDA) - a Group-wide multi-year program of work aimed to drive a step-change in AIA’s capability across the region roadmap, including effective portfolio pipeline management and prioritisation
- Leading the Technology portfolio release and environment management functions
- Meeting governance and audit standards
- Driving maturity and predictability in the release management plannings
- Supporting the Technical Project Managers to develop and deliver robust and achievable delivery plans to manage the execution of portfolio changes
- Financial management of the portfolio and ensure cost efficiencies
- Effectively manage relationships across multiple stakeholder groups (e.g., Transformation, Strategy, Innovation and Data, other business areas, and vendors).

To be successful in this position, you will have:

- Extensive experience working in technology and driving portfolio management at scale
- Ability to lead and inspire people to deliver exceptional outcomes and to drive a performance culture
- Experience working in a complex environment
- Ability to identify executive insights to drive informed decision making
- Ability to define/manage detail project plans, milestones, manages deliverables; understand financial/budgetary impact of technical decisions.
- Has developed release and environment strategies to optimise delivery efficiencies
