About the Role

We're seeking a strategic and operational leader to join our Energy Markets team as Head of B2B Operations. This pivotal role will lead the operational backbone of our B2B retail electricity business, ensuring excellence in systems, processes, and people to support scalable, compliant, and customer-focused growth.

You'll drive the strategic direction of operational platforms, champion continuous improvement, and ensure operational integrity across billing, customer transfers, metering and more. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of B2B energy operations in a dynamic and growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic direction across B2B operational functions, aligning systems and processes to business goals
  • Own the roadmap for operational platforms (billing & CIS), ensuring scalability and resilience
  • Oversee revenue assurance, billing accuracy, metering, and market processes
  • Drive cost efficiencies through process optimisation and vendor performance
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and proactively manage operational risks
  • Champion system enhancements, automation, and integration with adjacent platforms
  • Deliver actionable reporting and insights to leadership teams
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver sustainable change

About You

You're a seasoned leader with deep expertise in B2B retail electricity operations and a passion for driving operational excellence. You bring a strategic mindset, strong governance capabilities, and a track record of delivering scalable solutions in complex environments.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or Economics
  • Significant experience leading operational teams in B2B retail electricity
  • Proven experience in system implementation and migration projects
  • Strong vendor management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Expertise in billing, metering, settlements, and revenue assurance
  • Demonstrated ability to drive automation, process redesign, and continuous improvement
  • Experience managing performance, coaching teams, and fostering career growth
