About the role

The Technology Portfolio Lead plays a central role in managing a diverse and high-impact portfolio of initiatives that bring the Council Plan to life.

This role sits within the Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO) and is responsible for shaping, sequencing, and reporting on strategic technology projects. The portfolio includes the development and renewal of policies, delivery of Council Plan activities, and major cross-organisational initiatives such as the Developer Contribution Plan and Community Infrastructure Plan.

The Technology Portfolio Lead ensures that strategies and policies are aligned to the Council Plan, coherent and mutually reinforcing. The role also supports alignment across other portfolios—such as infrastructure and events, so that all programs work together to deliver on the city's strategic intent.

This is a leadership opportunity to drive meaningful change, connect strategy with delivery, and help shape Melbourne's future through technology.
