**About the Role**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Injury Management Officer to join our team.
In this role, you will play a critical part in managing workplace injuries, supporting injured employees, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Effectively manage workers compensation claims to ensure mínimal time loss and impacts on premium
- . Collaborate with Payroll and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate calculations of workers compensation wage payments and wage reimbursement schedules
- . Liaise effectively with key external stakeholders including StateCover, medical and legal practitioners, and relevant legislative bodies to achieve optimal outcomes for Council and its employees
- . Assist the relevant stakeholders in the management of non-work related injuries/illnesses by developing non-work related return to work plans
- . Update and maintain records and databases to ensure that all information is accurately and correctly stored and accessible
- . Promote the positive and collaborative culture and values of the organisation through open, fair and transparent decision making and ethical, professional behaviour
- . Work in collaboration with and assist the team, manager, and other key stakeholders to achieve business unit goals, work requests, demands and Council priorities

**About You**
We are looking for a someone who has:
Experience in injury management, occupational health, or a similar role is preferred
- . Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in injury management
- . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- . Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- . Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- . Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Salary Range: $84,822.61 - $95,001.60 per annum pro-rata, plus 11.5% superannuation
