In this role, you will provide guidance and coaching to the CTP team on rehabilitation referrals, treatment reviews and determinations, minor and non-minor injury decisions, and return-to-work and return-to-health strategies.

You will be a subject matter expert within the CTP business unit, ensuring personal injury management practices are applied consistently and effectively across our claims team.

This position is ideal for experienced Injury Management Specialists or allied health professionals looking to expand their impact, provide leadership, and make a tangible difference in recovery and return-to-work outcomes.

This is a permanent, full time position base in our Sydney office. You will have the option to work from home 2 days per week once you're comfortable in the role.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use reporting and systems to ensure daily compliance, legislative requirements, and data quality are met.
  • Support Case Managers alongside the Team Leader and Technical Specialists to achieve high-quality daily outcomes.
  • Participate in regular panel reviews with Case Managers and stakeholders to enhance claims management capability and project outcomes.
  • Review treatment requests and provide coaching to ensure decisions are fair, reasonable, and compliant with legislation, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist Case Managers with medical spend initiatives and approval of medical, hospital, and rehabilitation expenses.
  • Deliver training to Case Managers and other Specialists to support continuous improvement and process updates.
  • Review and sign off on minor and non-minor injury decisions, treatments, and other injury management requirements.

ABOUT YOU

  • Tertiary studies in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Exercise Science, Nursing, or other Allied Health Field) are required.
  • Experience in injury management in rehabilitation, insurance, or workers' compensation is desirable, with a strong preference for candidates with CTP insurance experience.
  • Injury coding experience is desirable.
  • You enjoy sharing knowledge and coaching.
  • Strong communication skills, a passion for working in a team environment, and a customer-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in injury management, particularly high-risk or significant injury claims.
