**The Role**

Reporting to your Head of Workers' Compensation, you will have the perfect balance of autonomy and support to truly step into a specialist claims position and make it your own.

Your core responsibility will be to effectively service a range of clientele across Injury Management and Return-to-Work:

- This is a full-time role based in our Sydney office, with a requirement to service our clients onsite primarily in NSW with infrequent travel interstate.
- Your role will include handling the ongoing management of workers' compensation claims and providing technical advice to clients around RTW.
- You will act as the Return-to-Work Coordinator for clients, developing return-to-work plans, managing the insurer to ensure timely claims actions, and assisting in the development of return-to-work programs.
- Implement early intervention and risk management for RTW services
- Participate in Claims Reviews and have high-level knowledge and skills in Claims Management, rehabilitation and return to work
- Develop return-to-work plans that meet statutory and organisational requirements
- Provide strategic claims advice to clients by being a primary point of claims contact. Driving outcomes with the insurers, discussing strategies with the clients, and ensuring agreed actions are confirmed with all parties and implemented

**The Skills & Experience**
- Allied health qualification
- Allied Health background already experienced in Workers' Compensation claims and injury management
- Workcover& or WorkSafe/SIRA accredited RTW qualification or eager to work towards
- Ability to manage multiple and complex physical and psychological claims within tight deadlines
- Exceptional relationship-building skills
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Previous claims management experience with a broker, workers' compensation insurer, return to work coordinator with an employer or rehabilitation consultant is essential
- A strong understanding of workers' compensation legislation, policies, and procedures is essential
