Established in 1899, the French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FACCI) is one of the leading European bilateral Chambers of Commerce in Australia. We are a member-based, not-for-profit organisation, representing the interests of 500 members ranging from global firms, through to SMEs and Start-ups, and individuals.
The Chamber’s main mission is to promote our members, to facilitate connections within the French-Australian community as well as with the wider business community and government, to provide relevant information to our network, and offer an extensive range of events and business services.
The role of the **Head of SA Chapter **is to identify and secure new FACCI members and sponsors for main events as well as develop and coordinate a range of events and services provided to the FACCI members. The role involves extensive liaison with French and Australian companies, trade and governmental organisations, external stakeholders, and interstate offices.
**Responsibilities**
- Management:
- Training and management of interns. Assisting the Chapter Councillors.
- Assist with all admin tasks requested for the success of FACCI SA, FACCI Federal and its committees.
- Maintain good relationships with key stakeholders (French institutions, all levels of Government, professional organisations, other bilateral chambers, etc).
- Act as the "front line" contact for all enquiries regarding events, memberships, and services.
- Memberships:
- Retain existing members.
- Identification of leads and active promotion of memberships
- Follow all membership requests and related administration.
- Propose and implement sales strategies to recruit new members (focus on patron & corporate)
- Meet budgets and deadlines regarding membership revenue.
- Follow all membership requests and related administration.
- Liaise with the Marketing & Communication team to communicate about the members.
- Manage data entry into FACCI online directory and members' list.
- Update CRM (Glue Up) and use it to its full potential.
- Events:
- Engage with members of the South Australian FACCI council for their contribution and participation at events, particularly industry series.
- Select and liaise with external stakeholders: speakers, public and private partners, French and Australian companies, venues, entertainment, catering, and media.
- Hands-on approach from structuring, planning, budgeting (create budget for each event), promoting, organising and managing our events and ensuring they are executed to the highest standard.
- Coordinate and attend SA events (Business Briefings, Functions, Delegations’ visits, etc.).
- Research financial and in-kind sponsors for flagship events and maintain the relationship with sponsors. Develop proposals and ensure sponsorship conditions are adhered to.
- Manage events bookings, payments and ticketing
- Increase the number of attendees at, and quality of, FACCI events and offers. Coordinate RSVP list & Answer event enquiries.
- Meet budgeted events and sponsorship revenues.
- Liaise with the Marketing & Communication team to communicate around events.
- Manage social media (LinkedIn & Facebook) about the events.
- Update the FACCI website with upcoming events and past events articles.
- Update CRM (Glue Up) and use it to its full potential.
- Coordinating the involvement of volunteers when applicable
- Marketing:
- Be part of FACCI National Team and Communication team regarding the branding, promotion and development of communication plan for national events taking place in South Australia
- Update the FACCI website with upcoming events and past events articles.
- Manage social media (LinkedIn & Facebook) concerning the events.
- Ensure promotion of events all year round
- Identify new event opportunities in conjunction with other FACCI chapters or external partners
- Ensure all past and upcoming events are documented on the website.
**Tools/resources**
- Manage internal tools: CRM (Glue Up), Trello, Excel
**Profile requirements**
- Strong knowledge of the South Australian Market and its industries
- Degree qualified or similar level of experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in working in fast-paced environment.
- Experience in planning and delivering events with autonomy.
- Experience in Business Development to secure memberships and sponsorships
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written, in both English and French (a plus)
- Highly organised with keen attention to detail
- Availability for the morning (7 am-9 am) and evening (6 pm-9 pm) events.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a virtual team environment. Positive and “can do” attitude
- Visa Status: Full working rights in Australia
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
**Salary**: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
