**About the role**

The Rostering Coordinator position is a varied role and is predominantly responsible for the effective daily management of the rostering function across the residential facilities within Life Care. As the Roving Rostering Coordinator you will be providing support across the five Residential Aged Care Facilities as part of key operational initiatives, in response to peak demand and/or during periods of planned leave.

You will be responsible for managing the workforce’s availability to provide effective services across the sites and identify opportunities to optimise the efficiency of rostering practices during your assignments.

The role requires effectively collaboration with department heads and corporate services and ongoing communication with the Residential Services Manager and Clinical Leads to ensure the operational demands at the site are being met.

In this role you will be required to regularly engage with residents and employees alike; and work closely as a key member of the site management to advocate for the values that underpin the organisation. You will inspire your team to have a customer centric culture where residents, families and friends receive a service experience that sets them apart.

**What we need from you**
- Working knowledge of the key principles of effective roster management and workforce planning;
- Previous experience in rostering / scheduling role in comparable, high-paced healthcare environment;
- Demonstrated ability to forward plan; specifically to ensure planned leave and peak periods are suitably resourced;
- Capacity to build effective relationships with key stakeholders to understand and execute the requirements of your role;
- Demonstrated ability to manage-up in order to effectively communicate and make recommendations on workforce optimisation and recruitment requirements.
- Be a self-starter, with the proven initiative to understand operational requirements and work autonomously or within a team environment to meet objectives.
- A high-level of computer literacy, including the ability to learn new systems and programs efficiently.
- Demonstrated the ability to support, mentor and coach team members in order to increase capability at a site level and aid in professional development.

You’ll also need some more practical things:

- An ability to obtain a Police Clearance
- Evidence of Covid-19 and Seasonal flu vaccinations
