**Your New Role: Import & Export Air Operations**
Our client's organization is experiencing rapid growth and is on the lookout for seasoned Import & Export Air Operations to deliver comprehensive logistics solutions for air cargo. With impressive national expansion, this is an ideal opportunity to become part of a dynamic, Australian-owned freight forwarder at a pivotal moment in its success.
- Ensuring all operational (Import and Export) and Bond procedures are met
- Ensuring to abide by company advised internal / external compliances and that these are fully met including ABF, DAFF and Aviation Security.
- Assistance in development team regarding PAVE improvements for Airfreight
- Assist with e-Commence requirements where required within Australia
- Handle all aspects of the company’s Airfreight Operations
- Undertake the allocation of tasks to be carried out within the Air Import / Export department
- Work with Warehouse Team Leader regarding 77g Bond requirements and ensure all compliance measures are met.
- Liaison and consultation with existing, new and potential customers
- Ensure adherence to relevant company procedures, operations and work instructions
- Accurately maintain, file and dispose of all relevant computer systems and records
- Undertake the allocation of tasks to be carried out within the Air Import / Export department
- Maintain prosperous relations with the Airlines, by negotiating freight rates and space allocations where and when required
- Advise other staff of relevant rate changes and any subsequent account procedures these may entail
- Perform general import / export duties as and when required
- Process of all relevant payments and invoices
- Input air job costs as required
- Ensure company OH&S policy and processes are followed

**What you'll need to succeed**
- 2-4 years of experience in a similar position with a freight forwarder
- Proficiency in CargoWise is essential
- Experience managing customer expectations and working with external stakeholders, such as agents and carriers.
- Proven experience in Import & Export Air Operations
- Handling day-to-day air shipments.
- Managing a customer base and regularly addressing their inquiries.
- Assisting the department with invoicing, costing, and implementing new business initiatives.
- Collaborating with team members to maintain a harmonious team environment.
- Innovative, demonstrate initiative, and be highly adaptive to the changing environment
- Co-operative working style, informing internal stakeholders/departments pro-actively
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
- Time management and prioritisation skills
