Do you enjoy working in a hands-on environment? To be in the running for our next Sales & Customer Relations Co-worker, we need you to have:

- A passion for our home furnishing products and working with customers
- A ‘Togetherness’ mindset where you’ll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work independently and take initiative
- A proven experience working in a fast-paced customer facing environment
- Creative thinking and a keen eye for aesthetics and detail
- Strong communication and customer skills, ensuring we keep the customer in mind no matter what we do
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
- A safe mindset, and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive heavy lifting
- Availability to work up to 3 out of 4 weekends a month AND a mix of weekday morning, afternoon and evening shifts.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Sales & Customer Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

- Actively approaching customers and understanding their needs in order to sell suitable solutions for them
- Being an expert in your area to build strong relationships with customers throughout their researching, planning and purchasing journey
- Daily merchandising, pricing, inventory control and maintaining the department in shape as new
- Condensing stock, including unloading pallets and cutting boxes open in order to place items in their locations for customers to easily access.
- Supporting other Sales areas and within the business when required
- Handling cash and card payments in a reliable, efficient, accurate and friendly way.
- Resolving customer issues, recognising when to escalate to someone with higher authorisation
- Ensuring my check-out is effectively equipped at all times throughout the day and I am ready and available to help customers when needed
- Ensuring customers have a positive final touchpoint during the IKEA shopping experience.

You will work as part of a team of passionate home furnishings enthusiasts to inspire our customers with our range, and help making their shopping experience enjoyable. You will problem solve and co-operate together with fellow co-workers from many departments. You will play an integral role in maximising sales and profitability within the IKEA Vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people
