**About the role.**:
The Assistant Project Officer provides administrative support, research and reports for strategies and initiatives including brokering partnerships and rapid responses to meet the needs of Aboriginal communities impacted by emergencies and unpredicted major events.

- You have demonstrated experience in project management and support services, including report and brief preparation.
- You have excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prepare and coordinate agenda items, meeting papers, and scheduling of meetings to support important appointments.
- You have strong communications skills with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- You have fundamental research and analysis skills to contribute to policy development and decision making.
- You’re a strong team player, with the ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships.
- You’re adaptable to changing and unpredictable deadlines and work plans.

**Salary**:Clerk Grade 5/6. Package includes base salary ($93,295 - $102,941) plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
