**The Role**

Multiple positions are available within Business Operations Branch, Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG).
Learning and Development (L&D) Key duties include:
- Perform analysis, design, development, conduct and evaluation of complex learning and development activities.
- Plan, manage and direct complex learning and development activities.
- Identify, interpret and clarify learning and development requirements to meet business needs and promoting a learning culture.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders on the provision of complex learning and development services.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business outcomes and resolve problems.
Workforce Planning Key duties include:
- Responsible for researching and updating workforce plans and strategies for Defence to meet the workforce capability requirements of the business.
- Responsible for workforce management and planning data extraction and analysis and communicating the impact of short, medium and long term implications for the workforce.
- Contribute to the provision of advice and guidance on the development of complex briefing materials and documentation.
- Design and implement operational workforce management and planning activities that are connected and integrated with strategic workforce initiatives within Defence.
**About our Team**
Our team, Business Operations branch provides essential elements of governance and communications to support CASG. The Strategic Workforce Initiatives team’s goal is to support CASGs business outcomes by providing workforce tools and information to Domains and Functions enabling delivery of Defence Capability. Our team is responsible for the implementation for the CASG Strategic Workforce Plan.
The SWI has five key service lines that assist in achieving this goal:
- Talent Acquisition - Provides internal coordination of all CASG Entry level programs and strategic recruitment frameworks
- Professionalisation - Provides support to the CASG workforce and functions through strategies such as career pathways, career conversations, training course co-ordination and program management
- Capacity Management - Provides CASG with strategic workforce information and analysis to support our workforce needs and customer requirements. Manages the tool, MAPS, used to capture demand data allowing us to forecast CASG future workforce requirements.
- Infrastructure and Accommodation - Provides accommodation support to the CASG workforce, and implements strategies to manage staffing growth and ensure compliance with enterprise wide accommodation policy and initiatives.
- Culture and Diversity - Develops CASG specific culture and diversity strategies and initiatives. We are an integrated team with a mix of APS, ADF and contractors.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge and/or experience in either L&D or workforce planning.
- Ability to set work priorities and manage workflows.
