**The Role**
An ongoing opportunity exists at the APS 6 level to provide contract management and procurement support for the Space and Cyber Capabilities Division Business Management Directorate (SCCD BMD).

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

- Providing contract management support and timely, accurate advice across the procurement life cycle for procurement activities, including supporting procurement planning preparation of compliant procurement documentation and management of contract Purchase orders and Invoice Payments.
- Promoting compliance with procurement policies and Commonwealth legislation.
- Liaising and collaborating with key stakeholders relating to ongoing and upcoming procurement.
- Preparing a range of written materials including reports, scorecards and correspondence to internal and external stakeholders.
- Promoting a client focused culture within a small team, including the ability to prioritise workload, meet tight deadlines, display a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and pre-empt next stage activities.

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. **About our Team**
Space and Cyber Capability Division, Business Management Directorate is a small team whose responsibilities and focus cover three core functions:

- Procurement and Contract Management.
- Workforce planning and recruitment.
- Finance, Information Management, Security.

SCCD BMD are focused on providing timely and accurate advice, ensuring best practice governance and supporting the Office of Head Space and Cyber Capabilities and each of the Branches within the Division. The APS 6 vacancy sits within SCCD BMD Procurement and Contracting team. Our small team, works closely together to manage a consistent high volume of work as well as ensuring procurement activities are compliant with Legislation and Policy requirements.
- Sound Commonwealth procurement experience, including but not limited to the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Procurement connected policies, or transferable skills and the ability to quickly acquire the necessary skills.
- Effective time management including the ability to prioritise competing workloads, and meet tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and client service skills.
- Strong customer and stakeholder focus, with the ability to build and sustain internal and external relationships to achieve outcomes.
- Contribute to a high performing and harmonious team environment.
- Strong data literacy, ability to maintain a dynamic database and extract data for specified reporting purposes.
