Thales Avionics produces a range of products, from the electronics in pilot helmets that allow pilots to fully control helicopter weaponry through moving their heads, to aviation-based navigation systems. **About Your Role: Project Scheduler**
An exciting opportunity has become available for a **Project Scheduler to join the planning team in a full-time, permanent position based in Rydalmere **. As part of our Avionics group, you will be responsible for the support of Avionics programs with cost, resource and schedule information to meet the KPI targets. This is a pivotal role that collaborates and partners closely with our internal and external stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conducting PMO activities including establishment and maintenance of project baselines
- Liaise with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, planning & bids team to create and maintain valid bid & project schedules in Primavera
- Advise the Project manager of scheduling / production issues that might impact on key schedule dates
- Highlight areas of schedule and cost concern and identify potential actions for improving performance
- Carry out analysis of project schedule and cost performance
- Ensure data transfer, data coordination between various program management software systems to ensure capture of accurate performance data
- Prepare regular reports and charts on project schedule progress and project performance
- Delivery of PMO demands in full, on time and to budget
- Customer focus (both internal and external) through anticipating and providing solutions to customer needs
- Continuous improvement of PMO processes in order to deliver cost advantage, improved competitive position
**How About You?**
- Qualifications or equivalent experience in Engineering, Project Management, Operations Management or Production Control environment
- Experience in the effective management of teams involved in meeting schedule imperatives
- Knowledge of scheduling methods, standards and processes
- Strong experience in MS Project, Primavera, Cobra and Open Plan Professional, MS Suite
- Previous experience in project lifecycle planning
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Team Player and goal orientated
- Ability to work under pressure
**DESIRED EXPERIENCE**
- Practical knowledge of project management, system engineering and financial principles.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques.
