Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, confident, and highly motivated Executive Assistant with exceptional organisation skills and a flair for communication. Our client is a Department of the Australian Federal Government and is looking for an outstanding Executive Assistant to join their team on a temporary non-ongoing basis. This role offers the opportunity to shine in a fast-paced environment, working closely with senior executives and making a difference in the lives of Australians. As an Executive Assistant, you'll provide professional support to senior executives, acting as a key problem solver and delivering a great client experience through every interaction.

**What you'll do**:
As an Executive Assistant, you will be at the heart of operations, providing professional support to senior executives. This role is an opportunity to sink your teeth into a fast-paced and dynamic environment, gaining exposure to the activities of a Federal Government Department. You will engage in typical executive assistant activities whilst also mentoring junior executive assistants. Your ability to build rapport and deliver a great client experience through every interaction will be highly valued.
- Use your experience and judgement to escalate urgent matters
- Track priority work and ensure deadlines are met
- Manage the flow of correspondence and documents
- Provide end-to-end secretariat services
- Organise travel and related logistics
- Coordinate input and prepare correspondence
- Support and mentor other Executive Assistants in your business line

**What you bring**:

- Recent experience working as an Executive Assistant in a high volume and complex environment
- Ability to proactively anticipate the needs of the Executive
- Prioritises and responds to competing and often urgent requests in a professional manner
- Communicates messages clearly, concisely and articulately tailored to suit the audience
- Confident use of digital systems and tools such as Microsoft suite and online collaboration tools
- Displays discretion and handles confidential information appropriately
