This Federal Government organisation, which aims to reduce the impact of cancer, is seeking multiple APS5 Project Officer positions to join their team on a 6-month non - ongoing contract basis.

**Your new role**

Exciting and rewarding APS5 opportunities are available, which directly contribute to improving cancer outcomes for all Australians. Your duties are, but not limted too:

- Provide advice to the Project Manager/Assistant Director on progress, issues and risks, including regular reporting and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of high-quality project plans, reports and briefing materials.
- Provide support for project coordination, procurement and budget management activities, including actively managing project timelines.
- Undertake procurement, contract and grant management, including monitoring and reviewing deliverables provided by external groups/organisations.
- Support the strategic direction of the Section in alignment with branch and agency objectives, remaining flexible and responsive to changes in requirements.
- Contribute to other work within the branch and across the agency, as required.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Strong analytical thinking skills include the capacity to identify high quality evidence, and to evaluate options, benefits and risks.
- A high level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills, including the ability to deliver high quality outcomes on time.
- The ability to work independently when required, showing confidence, initiative and drive.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information clearly and concisely to others.
- A collaborative approach to working with others and the ability to resolve problems and negotiate solutions with stakeholders.
- Grants management and project support experience.
- Must be an Australian Citizen.

**What you'll get in return**
- These positions are based in both Sydney and Canberra.
- Salary ranges between $80,788 to $85,720 depending on your experience.
- It is an initial 6-month non - ongoing contract with a 6-month extension.
- Flexible working arrangements.
