**Position Information**:
Milbrodale Public School is a K-6 school with 19 students enrolled serving the village of Bulga and the rural districts of Milbrodale, Howes Valley and Garlands Valley. Milbrodale is situated 28km from Singleton, in the Hunter Valley, on the traditional lands of the Wonnarua people with 68% Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students currently enrolled. What makes Milbrodale Public School unique is the focus on individual learning. Milbrodale Public School caters for the individual learning needs of the students through individualised learning plans, as well as a multitude of extra curricula opportunities that include collaboration, critical thinking, creativity and innovation, making learning exciting and where all learners can aspire to reach their potential. The school is a proud member of the Upper Hunter and Singleton Learning Communities. In addition, Milbrodale Public School works in close association with numerous other small schools in the area.

- Demonstrated capacity to support a diverse school community through the implementation of high-quality student wellbeing and inclusive education initiatives
- A highly visible, collaborative and inspirational leader who empowers staff and builds authentic relationships with all members of the school community in relation to improving student engagement, attendance and learning outcomes through Equity and Excellence, HPGE and Explicit Teaching
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
