**Position Information**:
Gwandalan Public School is situated at the northern end of the Central Coast and is located on a peninsula on beautiful Lake Macquarie. It services the growing communities of Gwandalan and Summerland Point where a number of land developments are currently being finalised. The school currently has an enrolment of 348 students across 15 classrooms of which 18% are of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
The school offers a range of opportunities that focus on building the strengths and talents of students so that they can succeed. Gwandalan Public School is committed to maximising the potential of all students through genuine partnerships with P&C, Muru Bulbi AECG, the local lions club and the wider school community. The school works collaboratively with the Lakes Community of Schools including Lake Munmorah HS, Lake Munmorah PS and Mannering Park PS to ensure a shared commitment to strengthening the delivery of quality outcomes for the community around us.
Gwandalan Public School has just begun a journey towards embedding restorative practices within the school and an ongoing focus on strengthening school cohesion, systems and practices. The school has a dedicated and experienced staff who work to support every student to succeed and thrive. - Proven capacity to develop and lead targeted, differentiated, pedagogical practice with a focus on explicit teaching and improved student outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to enhance successful whole school programs which foster student engagement, empowerment and celebrates diversity and inclusion.
- A highly visible, approachable, and collaborative leader with demonstrated experience in fostering authentic partnerships with all members of the school community.

1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
