Group Linen Services (GLS), provides health care linen to seven Hospital and Health Services (HHS) in South East Queensland. GLS has three production facilities at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH), Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) and Maryborough Wide Bay (WB). The Operational Officer, (GLS), in the TPCH laundry reports to Selwyn Tweedale (Production Manager - GLS - TPCH).

**What we are looking for**:

- This is a manual handling position requiring you to:

- repetitive manual handling of laundry items
- feeding linen into machines
- handling linen items
- sorting soiled linen.
- Some workstations require the use of specialised PPE
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use automated machinery and some computerised equipment
- Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders and team members and ability to effectively communicate and influence staff.

**Mandatory requirements**:

- It may be a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against one or more of the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment (Health Employment Directive No. 01/16): measles, mumps, rubella (MMR),varicella (chicken pox),pertussis (whooping cough),hepatitis B, tuberculosis
