The role
The Linen Services Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient handling, processing, and distribution of linen within Queensland Health facilities. This role requires adherence to service quality standards, health and safety policies, and operational procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Key responsibilities include sorting soiled linen, feeding linen into production equipment for folding and ironing, hand folding, packing clean linen, and distributing linen to various hospital wards and facilities. Additionally, the role involves operating tug equipment, collecting soiled linen from wards, and performing general cleaning duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and waste removal to maintain hygiene standards. Other duties may be assigned as required to support linen service operations.
