Operations Officer

**Operations Settlement Officer**

Great Southern Bank is seeing a new Operations Officer within the Lending Fulfilment team on a permanent full-time basis. The Lending Fulfilment Team is responsible for the end-to-end settlement process, inclusive of document preparation, execution, booking settlement procedures with PEXA & Dye Durham and same day funding, this ensures a smooth transition to settlement for our customers in accordance with process, policy, and procedure. This position is based in Brisbane CBD with the flexibility to work from home two days per week.

You will be responsible for reviewing documents and ensuring they have been correctly recorded and reviewed for settlement, all in accordance with customers needs, legal requirement and policy and procedure. Processing PEXA workspaces, funding, finalising mortgages, and collateral.

**Your experience**:

- Experience in the Financial Services and Settlement industry with exposure to operations within the Financial Services Industry, with a complex understanding of the Settlement process
- Strong customer service ethics and the ability to successfully establish and maintain effective relationships
- Strong time management skills with the ability to motivate others to achieve business goals
- Knowledge of established lending fulfilment and property settlement processes within the Australian lending standards
- Demonstrated customer service orientation, focusing on customer complaints and negotiations.
- Knowledge of relevant finance industry standards, acts, codes, and legislation (e.g., Consumer Credit Code, Code of Practice, Privacy Act, Trade Practices Act, Financial Services Reform Act)
