**About the role**:
We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our Commercial & Industrial (C&I) team on a full-time, permanent basis. Supporting our Merchant Energy business pillar, and reporting into the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for existing electricity and gas contracts and securing new business with major commercial and industrial customers. The role demands a high level of focus on sales activity and requires self-motivation with a strong willingness to succeed.

**Duties**:

- Source and secure electricity and gas contracts in line with set sales targets through re-contracting and acquiring new business
- Solicit and provide accurate market feedback on outcomes to the business
- Coordinate the preparation of sales proposals, tenders/bids, and account management plans
- Act as the main interface between the customer and the organisation to ensure an optimal level of service is always provided
- Work closely with major customers to determine their present and future needs and propose suitable products and services

**Skills and experience**:

- Ability to deliver on operational sales strategies
- Appreciation of the value / importance of the account, coupled with the ability to balance the needs of the organisation and the customer’s organisation
- A good understanding of resources, manufacturing, or energy sectors
- Account management experience in a complex B2B sales environment
- Ability to deal with customers at all levels and translate customer needs into a complete solution
