A day in the life: *
As a Product Owner you will lead a highly performing squad that is dedicated to developing new and enhanced functionality of existing Data products suite to provide better value and support to our members. Working with cross functional teams, you will be responsible for managing the backlog, roadmap and ensuring the squad deliver the features and values identified by the Product Manager.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Work closely with Product Managers to define the vision and roadmap for the product.
- Support the product team in translating roadmap into well-structured user stories.
- Provide leadership in the execution of a collaborative, dynamic planning, and delivery process.
- Help the squad to work in a rational sequence and follow a rational approach with a reasonable probability of delivering value according to Product Owner priorities and team-defined and owned timeframes.
- Enable the completion and release of potentially shippable increments every sprint; maximizes opportunities to get regular customer feedback.
- Ensure Management is kept up to date on progress and engaged to assist with escalation points and for managing risks.
- When required, work closely with squads to determine estimates and timeframes for delivering requirements.
- Create user stories and success criteria.
- Observing, learning about, contacting and analysing customers and end users of the product.
- Participating in agile stand-ups, retrospectives and showcases.
- Ensure a well-groomed backlog of user stories for sprint planning.
- Instilling a culture of quality and customer focus across all product planning and development activities.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers to contribute to and understand go to market activities.
**Skills and Experience**
- Technical knowledge and hands-on experience in a highly distributed & integrated technology environment is desirable.
- Technical background in software engineering or Technical Project Management of web-based software
- Experience in leading the provision of customer outcomes, either from a technology enabled service or product perspective
- Good experience in delivery and change management
- Strong knowledge of Agile principles and practices.
- Ability to mentor and support team members to ensure the agile capabilities scale appropriately based on project demands
- Experience prioritizing features and enhancements for delivery
