Our client is an innovative data insights and technology company, they are a vital part of the Victorian economy supporting more than a million transactions every year and providing vital industry insights via their privileged access to sources. They develop products, services and solutions that make life easier and personal information more secure for their customers, partners, key stakeholders, and the people of Victoria.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The
**Product Owner **reporting to the Head of Product Delivery will be responsible for SAFe Agile Release Train (ART), defining, prioritising, and delivering the product backlog items that align with the vision and goals of the Program Increment (PI). You will also work closely with stakeholders, the Agile teams, and the Product Management team to ensure that the product backlog is well-groomed, prioritised, and ready for the upcoming PI.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Define the vision and roadmap: Work with the Product Management team to define the vision and roadmap for the product. Ensure that the vision and the roadmap align with the program vision and goals.
- Manage the product backlog: Create, prioritise, and groom the product backlog. Ensure that the backlog is well-defined, structured, and ready for upcoming sprints.
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with stakeholders to identify and prioritise product features. Ensure that the product backlog items align with the needs of the stakeholders.
- Work with Agile teams: Collaborate with Agile teams to ensure that the product backlog items are well-understood, and that the team has the necessary information to deliver high-quality products.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies: Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Daily Standups. Ensure that the team is aligned with the product vision, and that the print goals are well-defined and achievable.
- Communicate progress: Communicate progress to stakeholders, the Agile teams, and the Product Management team. Provide regular updates on the status of the product backlog items and ensure that any issues or concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
- Comply with policies and procedures related to information security, privacy, risk management and performance management in order to ensure a productive and compliant workplace.
**SKILLS & EXPERTISE**
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment, particularly SAFe for minimum 3 years.
- Strong experience in Product Management, defining visions and roadmaps.
- Product Owner/Product Manager certification (preferably SAFe).
- Ability to achieve superior results by collaborating across teams and valuing diverse points of view.
- Ability to respond positively to change, adapting where necessary to maintain effectiveness when experiencing changes in responsibility or environment.
- Ability to proactively champion governance, quality, and safety, speaking up and challenging inappropriate or non-compliant behaviour.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or related field.
