**Your Opportunity
As a Correspondence Officer, you will be a key member of the Business Support Unit within the Office of the Deputy Director-General. You will work with the Business Support Manager and Director to provide and coordinate high-quality services related to ministerial and executive correspondence, cabinet and parliamentary material, and a range of other briefing and reporting services to the Offices of the Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning, the Director-General, and the broader Infrastructure and Regional Strategy (IRS) group. The Business Support Unit sets high standards, and you will be provided with training and support to master all aspects of the role.

Your Responsibilities
- Coordinate Correspondence: Manage all ministerial and executive correspondence for the IRS group, ensuring a high standard within departmental deadlines and protocols. This includes briefing notes, correspondence, trip briefs, extension/reallocation/NRN requests.
- Manage Parliamentary and Cabinet Documentation: Coordinate parliamentary and cabinet documentation for the business group, ensuring a high standard within departmental deadlines and protocols.
- Provide Quality Assurance: Ensure quality assurance in line with the Departmental Style Guide for ministerial and Director-General briefing notes and correspondence.
- Offer Feedback and Advice: Provide feedback and advice to the group on the preparation of written correspondence, processes, protocols, associated deadlines, and user systems.
- Liaise and Build Relationships: Effectively liaise, negotiate, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Office of the Deputy Director-General to ensure agreed service expectations are met.
- Participate in Team Activities: Actively participate as a member of the Office of the Deputy Director-General team, including understanding and working knowledge of the functions of the broader team to assist with staff absences, workload fluctuations, and other tasks.
- Provide Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exercise initiative, sound judgment, and develop innovative solutions in a work environment with conflicting deadlines and priorities.
