About the role

Stamford Hotels and Resorts is currently seeking an experienced HR Professional to join our Adelaide HR Team. The role performs a variety of Human Resources tasks for both Stamford Plaza Adelaide and Stamford Grand Adelaide properties.

**Responsibilities**:
Support the Human Resources Manager with the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
Partnering with the relevant hiring managers through the recruitment, talent identification and selection process.
In conjunction with the Human Resources Manager, this position will support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of our people.
Support overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the two Adelaide properties to foster a positive working environment and high performance culture.
In partnership with our people leaders you will oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that encourages and drives high performance.
You will be involved in compensation, payroll, rewards/benefits programs, as well as Return to Work claims.
As a key part of the Human Resources team you will be involved in identifying training needs and developing, monitoring and facilitating training programs accordingly.
You will work closely with the Human Resources Manager on employee well being and cultural engagement activities.
The role will work to ensure compliance with company and legislative requirements on Work Health and Safety, Return to Work and Industrial Relations.

Skills and Experience

Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (essential).
A solid background in business partnering coupled with previous significant experience in a Business Partner capacity.
Experience in the hospitality or service industry is advantageous.
You will posses a high level of accountability and competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
Successful track record of providing HR advice on policies, procedures, terms and conditions of employment and working with a diverse range of internal and external customers;
**Up to date knowledge of Australian employment legislation eg**: award, enterprise agreement, national employment standards
Must be flexible given the 24/7 nature of the Hospitality industry and committed to owning and resolving HR matters in a pragmatic, commercial and legally compliant manner
Excellent time management, organisation and communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to maintain confidentially at all times
