**About The Role**

Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, this newly developed role will provide administration and coordination of all human resources processes, procedures and programs across the organisation; with a key focus on recruitment, onboarding, induction and training coordination. This is a fixed-term contract role for 12 months (30 hrs a week) and hours may be worked flexibly over 4 or 5 days.

The goal is to improve capacity and capability within the PGNSW team and training outcomes. On a day to day basis, this will involve providing advice and responding to enquiries from employees in relation to the organisation's HR policies, procedures, and programs, as well as support initiatives to enhance employee engagement, development and performance levels. HR administration responsibilities are also a priority and you will develop and maintain the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to effectively support the business and ensure alignment with organisational and legislative requirements.

You will play an important part in enabling employees of Playgroup NSW to bring their best selves to work, by supporting a safe and compliant workplace where a culture of wellbeing and positivity is maintained.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Maintain the Human Resources Information System (BambooHR), ensuring employee information is accurately and confidentially retained.
- Assist with the coordination of relevant training programs and maintain accurate records and reporting of all mandatory training, certifications, qualifications and learning and development activities.
- Ensure the employee on-boarding experience of new employees is adhered to and work with the team to ensure employees are inducted and oriented appropriately.
- Provide accurate and timely HR advice to support the effective implementation and compliance with all HR policies, procedures and programs.
- Manage the exit processes (including liaising with payroll, exit interviews and required notice periods).
- Assist with adherence to Award and legislative compliance (including assisting with managing annual pay increases).
- Assist with supporting management and employees in the interpretation and adherence to the Award and/or appropriate employee legislation.

**About You**
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or demonstrated relevant work experience
- Demonstrated experience in a similar position essential (NFP experience highly regarded, with some commercial exposure)
- Solid recruitment experience (essential)
- Demonstrated experience in a learning and development coordination capacity
- Strong administration skills, including attention to detail, organisation and time management skills
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and conflict management skills
- Works with discretion, integrity and respect and understands the importance of confidentiality
- Motivated self-starter with proven initiative essential
- Solid understanding of Human Resources functions and best practice
- Familiarity with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS) Award highly regarded
- Evidence of Working With Children Clearance and COVID-19 Vaccination Certification (mandatory)
