**The Role**:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Wholesale Account Manager has responsibility for account management, relationship management and a commercial mindset to identify new sale opportunities, whether that be cross-selling or upselling. You'll have a eye for a growth opportunity and already established account relationships to build on, make your own, and grow.
This position provides direction and support to the business in developing and implementing robust sales plans which are based on industry knowledge, sales analysis and customer relationships, and will drive growth by working cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders across the business.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Working closely with the Sales Manager, review and identify primary and secondary market products to offer to B2B customers
- Analyse the B2B market on external and internal data to define customer product ranging and support sales plans
- Manage metrics such as price positioning, and forecasts
- Develop market insights and position conversations with key accounts to ensure viable products are developed which leads to balanced future growth for the business overall
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product selection and development
- Maximise sales opportunities by upselling, cross-selling, and soliciting new sales nationally
- Support Wholesale Clients with their retail sales through the timely provision of product and other relevant information
- Identify new business development opportunities within key target areas
- Represent the brand at tradeshows and industry events
- Work with the Sales Manager to forecast activities, including cyclical review, in consultation with relevant stakeholders, and in line with strategic plans
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions with business partners and vendors
- Liaise closely with the in-house purchasing department to determine wholesale allocations, and stock availability
**Key Requirements**:
- Previous experience in wholesale sales, including servicing large and complex accounts
- Open to industry experience in retail, fashion, FMCG etc..
- Well-developed ability and experience identifying and pursuing sales targets, cross-selling, upselling, and expansion opportunities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to liaise appropriately with both internal and external groups, including the proven capacity to adapt style to a variety of audiences.
- Understanding of the financial aspects of the role including margins, pricing and discount structures, profit and loss, and preparation and analysis of reports.
- Proven ability to operate a computerised database program (such as SAP and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and proven accuracy.
- Opportunities to occasionally travel domestically to meet clients and attend trade shows / exhibitions
