About the Role

As the Emergency Response Coordinator, you will report to the Senior Manager Risk & Assurance. You will bring a strong commitment to excellence in emergency response and safety coordinating the development, planning, implementation and review of AGL Macquarie’s emergency response and fire management arrangements.

This is a permanent, full-time role based onsite AGL Macquarie, Muswellbrook NSW.

What you’ll be doing:
- Enable and drive the development, maintenance and implementation of the emergency management and response programs and associated plans and procedures- Ensuring emergency response preparedness, including that response and recovery is established, implemented and monitored- Developing a strategy that increases and sustains emergency response capability along with driving continual improvement- Coordinating the of testing and exercising of emergency response arrangements and supporting in the development of rescue plans for high-risk work-
- Managing and auditing of all emergency plant and equipment to ensure a state of readiness- Developing and delivering a range of emergency response training sessions along with coordinating training for high-risk tasks, such as confined space & working at heights- Developing, managing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally and supporting with external emergency response authorities

About You

Able to think ‘outside of the box’ as well as logically you will have a solid knowledge of emergency response, contractor management, relevant emergency response systems, governance and be committed continual improvement initiatives.

What you’ll bring to the table:
- Relevant qualifications and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment partnered with proven capability as trainer/facilitator desirable- Strong working knowledge of risk management and knowledge of relevant legislation in emergency response- Competent in a wide range of injury and illness response protocols and techniques- The ability to manage complex, conflicting work demands, at times in high pressure situations- Possess an empathetic approach towards employees and patients- Strong communicator with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders- Strong ability to develop ideas into logical written communication, reports, plans and proposals
