East west coffee roasters are a specialty coffee roasting company based in Melbourne, Victoria. We source, roast, wholesale, and brew exceptional coffees at the highest levels of quality and consistency.

Our Melbourne team is seeking a head roaster for immediate start. This is a full-time role, based out of our warehouse / factory in Laverton north, Victoria.

This role involves the following responsibilities:

- Roast coffee according to our various sensory profiles
- Learn all about the world of coffees: origins, roast profiles, flavour profiles
- Assist Quality Control in preparing and cupping samples according to SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) protocols
- Managing and cleaning of Roasting machine
- implement new roast profiles and update existing roast profiles
- Working with and assisting our production team to coordinate efficient and precise fulfillment of all outgoing orders.
- Be involved in the process of getting our finished products to our customers
- Ensuring the warehouse environment is maintained to a high food-grade standard
- Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
- A conscientious, highly organised, and independent approach to work
- The ability to work autonomously and efficiently in a small-team environment
- Relevant prior dispatch, supply chain or warehousing experience

**Salary**: $27.15 - $32.15 per hour
