**Environment& sustainability Manager**

**6 Months Contract**

- Hybrid (3 days in office)**

Talent International is working in partnership with a large government organisation to assist in sourcing an experienced '**Sr Manager
- Environment& sustainability**'.

**Key Criteria**:

- Lead and manage a team to undertake environmental planning assessment, approvals, compliance, inspections and reporting to ensure compliance with relevant NSW and Commonwealth legislation, systems and process and other policy requirements.
- Identify risks and issues for projects/programs/operations and interdependencies across work activities and recommend appropriate risk management strategies and interventions to minimise risk.
- Lead the management of the review of environmental management plans, reports, and other documentation relating to projects and programs of work and/or operational requirements and provide expert technical input, as required, on environmental and sustainability issues, including resolution of complex problems to ensure full compliance with standards and legislation.
- Lead, monitor and undertake analysis activities to ensure the implementation of environment and relevant sustainability principles at all stages of the asset and project lifecycle, from concept and development through to delivery and operation.
- As required, manage the preparation and ongoing administration of relevant environmental and sustainability contracts for projects, including working with multi-disciplinary project teams and contractors, to ensure sound contractual management.
- Where applicable, manage NSW Environment Protection Authority licenses and monitor environmental practices to ensure required certification and compliance with applicable regulatory standards
- Motivate and maintain the development of an integrated, inclusive and engaged team with a clear focus on the delivery of environment and sustainability outcomes and the continued development of capabilities across the team.
