**About the Opportunity**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Global Treasury Payment Solutions team as an Accounts Payable Supervisor. As the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process for Flight Centre Travel Group’s global non-travel related payments. This includes overseeing the activities of an offshore accounts payable team, handling and resolving exceptions, and working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to address queries and issues that arise during the requisition, order and payment process.

This role requires leadership abilities, exceptional problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities and a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.

**What you will be doing**:

- Accounts Payable Processing_
- Oversee the accounts payable process for non-travel related payments, including the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices
- Serve as the primary point of contact for offshore team members, address queries and provide guidance and training to support their growth
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with the offshore team, ensuring clear and efficient exchange of information, instructions, and feedback
- Review and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies, ensuring proper coding and documentation
- Maintain vendor master data, including vendor setup, changes, and maintenance, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
- Perform periodic audits of accounts payable transactions to identify and resolve errors, discrepancies, and potential fraud
- Monitor team performance against agreed SLAs
- Query & Exception Management_
- Manage internal and external payment process queries
- Manage and resolve exceptions including invoice discrepancies, pricing discrepancies, quantity discrepancies, and payment discrepancies
- Communicate effectively with vendors, internal stakeholders, and team members to gather necessary information, clarify discrepancies, and provide updates on exception resolution
- Innovation & Process Management_
- Collaborate with the offshore team and the Payment Solutions team to develop and implement exception management procedures, guidelines, and best practices to minimise future exceptions
- Continuously identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the accuracy of accounts payable operations

**What you will need**:

- Essential_
- Minimum 3+ years Accounts Payable experience in a senior role
- Strong Knowledge of Accounts Payable Principles, Practices and Procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Desirable_
- Finance or Business Degree
- Knowledge of Abbyy, Basware & Microsoft D365 systems
- Travel industry knowledge

The Payment Solutions team are responsible for daily processing of supplier, Treasury and FX payments, implementation and management of Australian and Global payment systems, and improving payment systems, processes, security and controls.

Relationships are held with all businesses globally and Treasury is a trusted adviser to CFOs, global finance teams and operational businesses.
