Finance Officer | 3-4 Month Temporary Role | Aged Care | South-Western Sydney

This aged care provider based in South-Western Sydney is looking for a Finance Officer to join their team on a temporary 3-4-month basis. This organisation has been operating for over 50+ years, is a market leader in their field and a stalwart within the community and area.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the CFO and situated within the Finance team, this role is responsible for supporting the accountant and team with a diverse range of Aged Care billing and accounts functions. The duties of the role will include:

- Admissions and discharges of residents and clients
- Processing monthly billing of aged care residents and clients
- Monthly subsidy reconciliations
- Responsibility for investigating funding variances with Service Australia
- Some general ledger reconciliations may include income and expense accounts, unspent funds, general accruals.
- Responding to billing queries from residents, resident representatives, clients, and client representatives.
- Processing of direct debits fortnightly, monthly, or ad hoc as required
- Debt collection for slow paying residential consumer and community consumer accounts
- Establishing Centre pay payments as required, including liaising with clients, and reviewing as necessary
- Reconciliation of corporate credit cards
- EFT processing weekly and processing of cheques as required.
- Ad hoc general ledger journals

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills/requirements:

- Experience within with Aged Care sector is essential and non-negotiable.
- High level computer literacy, including experience with accounting software packages
- High level of attention to detail, ability to work to schedules and timelines
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
