POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Renewable Energy Solutions Manager will be responsible for the fulfilment of World Kinect Energy Services’ sustainability services and products to new prospects and existing customers predominantly in the Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) markets. The position will also have a core focus on promoting and selling these same services and supporting the expansion of our Renewable Energy Solutions offerings in ANZ.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Australian energy and carbon legislation, market trends, new technology and green energy solutions
- Work on the negotiation and execution of enabling agreements between clients and developers of utility scale renewable energy projects/ Onsite renewable and other distributed energy projects as part of the Renewable Energy Solutions team.
- Identifying business development opportunities appearing through energy transition, legislation or market conditions.
- Drawing on team solutions and delivery expertise, develop strategies to meet specific client needs and specific mandate requirements, manage work plans & timelines for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Business to business field sales - presenting the Company’s sustainability product offering and proactively driving Australian wide sustainability sales with the commercial team
- Track and report on delivery and performance against program schedules and design.
- Review and assess project delivery risks, develop mitigation plans to mitigate risks and identify opportunities for additional client support and/or products and services.
- Deliver the day-to-day management of the client relationship for products and services.
- Participate in the renewable energy solutions business development activities for ANZ region
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Australian energy and carbon legislation, market trends, new technology and renewable energy solutions
- Support the commercial team in sales process, competence building, and execution on the Company’s Sustainability solutions
- Be accountable for Customer success, delivery excellence and program performance.
- Actively identifying and prospecting existing customers and potential new clients for our Sustainability offering to build a relationship and a pipeline
- Attending and supporting internal and external corporate events, networking and associated lead generation
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors or Master degree in Environmental Science or similar
- At least 3-5 years of experience in the sustainability business
- Solution selling experience is essential, preferably gained in the energy industry
- Comprehensive understanding of Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance
- Detailed knowledge of Climate Change policies and carbon legislation
- Full appreciation of the Energy Transition, the implications for businesses and opportunities that result
- Experience with Retail and Virtual Power Purchase Agreements as well as knowledge about on-site renewable energy solutions
- Experience and in depth knowledge of the Renewable energy Certificate market
- Excellent face to face sales presentation delivery skills and experience
- Tenacious character and a genuine passion for proactively developing sustainability solutions
- Strong analytical, oral and written communications skills
- Capability to both work alone and as part of a dynamic team, as required
- Ability and willingness to travel nationally
