Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, and working as part of the PDCN executive, the Grants Manager will establish a grants program for the organization, securing funding for one-off and larger multiyear projects that build the capacity and inclusion of people with a physical disability in NSW.

Duties to include:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive grants strategy
- Research, develop, and nurture relationships across government, philanthropic and corporate grant bodies
- Work with the PDCN team to identify funding needs and project opportunities
- Identify grant opportunities and eligibility (using GEM portal and other funding platforms) that address PDCN’s strategic plan and funding priorities
- Alongside the CEO, and relevant project managers, coordinate all acquittal and reporting to external funding bodies. Manage a Reporting Schedule, and work with staff to report back to grant funders in a timely and impactful manner.
- Assist in the annual review of organisational future funding priorities and develop grant funding strategies to meet these priorities.
- Provide regular reports to the CEO and Board on grant program performance

Essential Selection Criteria
- At least 3 years’ experience in an equivalent role administering, managing or sourcing grant funding
- Experience in networking and building relationships within both Government and across the philanthropic community
- Knowledge of the Australian grants and philanthropic giving environment and the ability to research and identify funding opportunities.
- Proven interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively and develop good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of monitoring and evaluation frameworks, practices and impact reporting.
- Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines

Desirable
- Lived experience of physical disability is highly considered for this role
- Understanding of the NSW Disability Sector and a commitment to social justice

Other Requirements
- NSW Police Check, Working with Children Check, COVID 19 Vaccination
- Current driver’s licence (preferred)
