The Transportation team is looking for a Service Specialist to join the team. You will play a pivotal part of the team responsible for transportation operations, focussing on execution and scheduling elements of the transport plan. The objective of the service specialist is to identify, mitigate, and record actions as they relate to risks associated with on-time pickup and on-time delivery.

Within the team, the specialist will perform a variety of roles including tasks like shipping facility tracking, provider tracking, in-transit tracking, load recovery initiation, unload resolution, determining reassignment versus rescheduling, and providing value-stream level visibility to load status, among other transportation cost-and-service-based optimization activities for Nestle.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide oversight to all physical movements within a transportation plan to ensure on-time delivery
- Execute real-time analysis and decision making given exceptional situations associated with movement issues
- Facilitate visibility to stakeholders external to transportation group on load status and resolution action plans
- Implement market-based service strategies with respect to customer segmentation into daily problem-solving schemas

**Skills and experience**
- Demonstrated resilience to change
- Understanding of how to manage conflicting KPI's - Cost Vs Service
- Knowledge of Safety, Health and Environment, Quality Principles, regulations, and Best Practices
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Can show commitment and a strong work ethic
- Good verbal and written communication skills
