The Rhodes team are looking to add a Forecasting specialist to the demand planning team. You will responsible in developing a robust statistical forecast primarily using the SAS Application. Work with the demand planning team to enhance the forecasting process through additional commercial insights. Look for continuous improvement opportunities on how we forecast and plan.
**Responsibilities**:
- You will generate and manage the SAS Forecasting solution in the market, using appropriate processes and data models to support business needs to consistently achieve sustainable growth.
- Sustain and improve forecasting processes and tools to deliver tangible benefits (e.g.: forecast accuracy, time savings, increased efficiencies etc)
- Collaborate with the Demand planners to ensure commercial insights are considered when developing forecasts for you allocated portfolio.
- Explore and experiment new ways of utilizing data and statistical methods to enhance the quality of demand forecast and generate high value business insights.
- Drive fast, appropriate actions to minimize the impact of deviations from the Demand Plan. Communicate these actions to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain the integrity of reports to track and monitor the use/adoption of SAS (statistical forecasts), alerts for corrections/improvements and other analytical insights
- Contribute to the development of capability withing Forecasting team.
**Skills and Experiences**
- Demonstrated experience in statistical forecasting solutions
- Advanced understanding and practice of time series forecasting methods
- Practical experience in handling diverse data sources
- Advanced skills and experiences in influencing others
- Advanced skills and experiences in data interpretation into information
- Demonstrated operational experience at market / business level is a desirable
- Advanced in excel
- Forecasting solution experience (demand solution/DPAPO/ i2/Optimizer etc)
- SAS Forecast studio/SAS DI/ SAS EG experience is necessary
