Operations Manager

**Your New Opportunity**:
We are seeking our next **Operations Manager** to leading the development of the newly established ResourceCo Material Solutions business unit in Brisbane, **Queensland. **This role will be key to the delivering of outcomes across operations, business development, financials and HSEQ.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to: *
- Implement group systems in Transport, OH&S, Environmental and Contractor Management areas managing to best practice
- Work closely with colleagues in Business Development to secure new projects and grow our customers base with high quality service delivery standards
- Establish contractor recruitment and retention strategies to support growth initiatives
- Negotiate contracts with customers and suppliers in order to deliver strong gross margin results
- Identify and manage key risks to business performance
- Managing risk assessments and hazard detection and elimination
- Develop a high performing skilled team that has at its core our values of Committed, Sustainable, Agile and Creative
- Lead from the front in a hands-on manner with positive engagement will all employees in the business
- Deliver excellent customer service to the business’s customers and work collaboratively across the ResourceCo groups five pillars of Material Solutions, Recycling and Waste, Waste to Energy, Tyre Recycling and Shared Services

**About you**:

- Tertiary education in relevant field and experience working in the Construction, Waste or relevant industry will be well regarded but not essential
- Strong people leader qualities including strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Implementing ResourceCo Values (Sustainable, Committed, Creative and Agile) into day-to-day practice
- Possess a strong customer service attitude with a willingness to perform all functions in a manner to achieve this end.
- Sound understanding of basic costing and financial reporting, e.g. balance sheet and board reports.
- Strong computer skills
