Recycling & Waste Hseq Manager

**Your New Opportunity**:
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a driven, passionate and hands-on **HSEQ Manager **to join the ResourceCo Recycling and Waste leadership team.
Reporting directly to the CEO Recycling & Waste, you will play a pivotal role in leading & influencing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees - this is key. Driving the success of our workforce, you will work closely and collaboratively with all staff at all levels, to maintain excellence in Health, Safety and Quality capability and culture.
**Your key responsibilities include**:

- Closely support the operational leadership group to drive and maintain a culture of proactive continuous safety improvement and visible safety leadership;
- Develop and implement ‘step change’ initiatives supported by and in conjunction with the Recycling & Waste leadership team;
- Demonstrating a strong, face to face presence on all sites, educating all staff on key WHSQ processes and standards;
- Continuing to build & implement a solid WHSQ foundation including sound processes and policies;
- Implementing and maintaining strategies, programs and initiatives designed to engage visible WHSQ leadership and effective capability across all areas of business, through education and awareness;
- Maintaining an awareness and routinely communicate changes in WHSQ legislation, regulations and standards;
- Preparation of WHSQ data for presentation at ResourceCo monthly board meetings;
- Supporting the maintenance of the ResourceCo group accreditation of International Standards for Occupational Health, Safety ISO 45001, Environment ISO 14001 and Quality ISO 9001.

**About you**:
This role will suit an ambitious and energetic person with demonstrated experience in working hands-on with operational teams to manage WHSQ and build capability in a fast paced industrial / manufacturing environment.
Your ability to engage with staff and leaders at all levels, and make a positive impact in the business through strong processes and guidelines and effective communication will see you succeed in this role, as will:

- Strong demonstrated experience in a similar role within the Recycling & Waste Industry would be advantageous, however not mandatory;
- A Degree qualification in Health and Safety and/or significant HSEQ management experience in a similar role is required;
- Sound knowledge of the Health and Safety legislative requirements, contemporary safety matters and best practice;
- Strong computer literacy including MS Word, Excel & Power Point and previous working experience with systems;
- Lead investigation training - ICAM or similar;
- Return to Work certificate;
- Working knowledge and experience in Quality Management Systems
