**The Client**
Our Client is an Australian leader in integrated telecommunications, delivering cutting-edge communications, information technology and entertainment services. With more than 130 years of operating experience our client is Asia's leading communications group providing a wide spectrum of multimedia and infocomms technology (ICT) solutions, including voice, data and video services over fixed and wireless platforms.

**The Role**
The IT Security Manager (ITSM) is the primary security services advocate + manager for our client. The ITSM has responsibility for the effective security framework lifecycle management, organic growth + satisfaction of a Government customer. The ITSM is part of the senior leadership team + will, in conjunction with other members of the management team, contribute to the development of strategic business plans + engage with key customer stakeholders, including at the executive level.

Operationally, the ITSM supports all facets of the ICT security life-cycle, including project support (in the form of managing + advising projects on ICT security, including security accreditation artefacts); + Operations support (in the form of vulnerability management, security incident response, security reporting, security awareness training)

The ITSM is also responsible for producing + maintaining the ICT security framework used to deliver contract-based deliverables to the customer, establish + maintain security accreditation across account services, + deliver/or review security risk assessments + management plans.

This role includes a customer facing element, as well as engagement with other stakeholders to ensure that customer expectations are appropriately managed, opportunities for improvement/growth are realized + delivery is consistent with the contract + customer expectations.

This position is predominantly self-managing with little direction required from senior management, will liaise with internal Optus Security elements, be able to negotiate pragmatic outcomes for the customer, leverage a multi-disciplinary technical team to achieve the effective operation of the delivery framework.
Positively influence and motivate internal and external stakeholders to ensure strategic partnerships are maintained with customers. The ITSM will be required to work both on site at the client premise.

**About You**
- Experience with Cyber Security + Information Security disciplines.
- Completed tertiary qualifications in IT
- 5+ years' experience in a comparable Federal Government Security role
- Managing security in complex ICT environments + finding pragmatic effective solutions to diverse + complex issues
- Managing security in large managed service accounts
- Extensive proven experience with, (as a minimum), ISO2700x or ISM + PSPF
